Comprende el conjunto de valores naturales, sociales y culturales existentes en un lugar y un momento determinado, que influyen en la vida del hombre y en las generaciones venideras. Es decir, no se trata sólo del espacio en el que se desarrolla la vida sino que también abarca seres vivos, objetos, agua, suelo, aire y las relaciones entre ellos, así como elementos tan intangibles como la cultura.Estar concientes del daño causado al medio en si es saber que si contribuimos a que este se deteriore nos estamnos perjudicando nosotros mismos por las consecuencias que estos traen. El factor que influye en el colegio a tener un ambiente deteriorado son los desechos solidos ya que estos son desperdicios o sobrantes de las actividades humanas. Estos se clasifica en gases, líquidos y sólidos; y por su origen, en orgánicos e inorgánicos.Las basuras atraen ratas, insectos, moscas y otros animales que transmiten enfermedades; contaminan el aire al desprender químicos tóxicos (Bióxido de carbono y otros), polvos y olores de la basura durante su putrefacción. Además, los vertederos de basura cuando llueve, contribuyen a contaminar las aguas superficiales y subterráneas.La basura es causa de muchas enfermedades, porque en ella se multiplican microbios y otras plagas como moscas, cucarachas y ratas. También atrae perros y otros animales que pueden trasmitirlas. La basura debe manejarse con cuidado y depositarse en lugares adecuados, para evitar los olores y el aspecto desagradable; con ello contribuimos a evitar la contaminación del suelo, del agua y del aire.Son muchas las enfermedades causadas por los microbios que se producen por la acumulación de basura, sobre todo cuando entran en contacto con el agua de beber o los alimentos; por eso, se debe manejar adecuadamente y eliminarla sanitariamenteVivimos en una sociedad de consumo en la que los residuos que generamos se han convertido en un grave problema para el medio ambiente, debido a que estamos inmersos en la cultura de usar y tirar.La inadecuada disposición de los residuos sólidos es fuente de proliferación de fauna nociva (ratas, cucarachas, moscas, mosquitos, etc.), la cual puede transmitir enfermedades infecciosas. Los residuos sólidos dispuestos inadecuadamente pueden generar gases, humos y polvos que contribuyen a la contaminación atmosférica. Pueden, también, originar problemas de contaminación de las ñapas acuíferas, por la percolación de sus lixiviados en el subsuelo.Para evitar que la basura contamine, es necesario no amontonarla en el patio ni tirarla en calles o terrenos baldíos; tampoco se debe arrojar a ríos, lagos u otros sitios de abastecimiento de agua.La basura produce daños a la naturaleza, sobre todo por el aumento de materiales inorgánicos como recipientes, bolsas, residuos industriales, pilas, pañales desechables y otros. También es causa de muchas enfermedades porque en ella se multiplican microbios.Se debe manejar adecuadamente la basura para evitar la contaminación. La difusión de mensajes que informen y orienten sobre este problema, será de gran importancia para disminuir la degradación del medio ambiente y mejorar las condiciones de salud.PARA MEJORAR EL AMIBIENTE DE LA INSTITUCION EDUCATIVA RAFAEL NUÑEZ SUGIERO LAS SIGUIENTES PROPUESTAS: Crear un grupo ecologico que se encargue de vigilar tanto en las aulas de clase como por fuera de ellas para evitar asi que contaminen el ambiente y sancionar aquellos que no atiendan el llamado, para ello debe nombrarse como minimo dos representantes en cada salon. Con ayuda de los directivos de la institucion y alumnos que esten interesados elaborar proyectos para la mejora del medio ambienteotro seria para la recreacion social es decir para que se alejen de los vicios que tanto daño le hacen al entorno, como por ejemplo el cigarrillo. otro para la plantacion de nuevos arboles ya que estos mejoran nuestra calidad de vida y mejora el clima pero tambien dan sombraun grupo que vigile que no se rayen las paredes, y sancionar a quien lo hagano malgastar el agua, ni tampoco contaminarla con desechos ni sustancias extrañashacer jornadas de aseo para la recoleccion de basuras y empezar una actividad de reciclaje con el fin de obtener materiales que puedan ser utilizados nuevamente evitar hacer tanto ruido consientizar a los educandos con charlas de proteccion ambiental y hacerles entender que la coca,las fumigaciones y la violencia  son los mayores contaminates. ¿COMO PUEDES HACER TU PARA QUE ESTO EN VEZ DE EMPEORAR,MEJORE? amigos ayuden con comentarios que ayuden a llevar acabo esta propuesta,o aportando ideas para mejorarla.gracias...
